Let’s Knit Yarn Festival

Cancelled
14th & 15th September 2024

Thank you to all of the makers, designers, and lovers of the fibre arts who made Lets Knit Festival so great in 2023.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to write this message. The past couple of months have been intensely difficult for both founders of the let’s knit festival. Life with small toddlers, non stop illness, sleep deprivation, working full time and supporting a new, incredibly time demanding business with little return is unfortunately very difficult. We have both come to the decision to cancel this years Let’s Knit festival early & before too much money (that we don’t have) has been invested.

Unfortunately we both don’t have the time or mental bandwidth to search for other funding structures, build and manage a team to help us or do it ourselves.

Hopefully with this amount of advanced notice people are able to get refunds on travel & accommodations.

We apologise for the disappointment that this no doubt causes. Trust us, we are disappointed too. But unfortunately our families and jobs that pay the bills have to come first.

Both of us have had our lives change so much and this festival was an amazing way to connect with our pre-family yarnie lives. It was our last hurrah before we passed through the other side of the messy middle of early childhood and come out the other side with more energy & strength to build something bigger & better.

We may organise something smaller in the years to come but right now, its is not possible for us to move forward. If you would like your details removed from this contact form - please let us know by return email. If you would like to stay on the list for any future events we may organise, you do not need to do anything.

We hope you understand.

with great sadness but also relief,
